I want to expand my knowledge of the things I can do that reflect on a journey about my ancestors and me. I want to go into depth with it.
I want to challenge myself to accomplish artwork which tells the viewer what I want to portray. Not make it too obvious though.
Pretty much I want to work in the realm of Maori.
Hi Wiremu, the photograph of the Waitomo caves (is it Waitomo caves?) is an engaging and unique image, is Waitomo in your rohe? Are you intending to work with imagery and ideas/knowledge from your Iwi? This is usually a political issue for objects and knowledge which are important to specific Maori Iwi. For instance the extinct Haasts Eagle/Pouakai is Ngai Tahu/Kati Mamoe - Akura
